United Way of Bemidji Area has been serving Blackduck since 2019, with popular programs and initiatives such as:
Backpack Buddies – students in need receive weekend food packs each week to ensure they have access to nutritious food when school is not open.
Coats for the Community – each fall, coats and other winter items are distributed to help keep those in need warm and dry during the winter.
Imagination Library – children from birth until their fifth birthday receive a free, high-quality, age-appropriate book in the mail each month.
Mobile Food Pantry – In partnership with the Bemidji Community Food Shelf, the mobile food pantry has been supplying food to the Blackduck area since May 2021.
